Abstract

The role of hard/soft ferrites composite of xLi0.5Fe2.5O4–(1 − x)SrFe2O4 (LSF) (x = 0.4, 0.5, and 0.6) on the magnetic exchange-spring systems have been studied. LSF thin films were prepared by sol–gel combined metallo organic decomposition method by using spin coating technique. The effect of annealing temperature on magnetic hysteresis has been studied. The phase structure and lattice parameters of both Li0.5Fe2.5O4 and SrFe2O4 ferrite have been confirmed by x-ray diffraction analysis. For nanostructural confirmation of LSF grains, the atomic force microscopy is used. The average size of LSF grains with different composition and annealing temperatures is lies in the range of 76–550 nm. The magnetic measurements show spring like vibrations in both field and temperature dependent magnetization. The cole–cole plot of impedance spectroscopy has been used to find the grain size effect on magnetic properties of LSF grains.
